Are you tired of feeling trapped in a rat race?
What would it be like
if you stepped into the driver’s seat of your life to reinvent it?
Hi, I’m AnYes and I work with successful women who, like you, want to take back control of their life because their business or career is ruling it. I help you connect the dots between who you are and what is important to you so that you can step into the driver’s seat and create the successful and fulfilling business or career that will support the life you want for yourself and those around you.
I know what it’s like to let my career and later my business completely rule my life. For twenty-five years, I climbed the corporate ladder, doing what was necessary to be successful. At forty, I knew something had to change, but I wasn’t sure what. I came across a coaching training and was instantly drawn. Out of fear of not being good enough I over-prepared and over-trained. I became an expert in Mindset, Work/Life Balance, Personal Branding and Personal Effectiveness. When I finally dared to set up my own business, I had to learn the hard way that being great at what you do is one thing, but running a business is something completely different. I had to juggle with a lot of trial and error, but once I started running my business as a real business, it turned into a very successful six-figure business. And that’s of course when I lost control and re-created myself the rat race that I had left in the corporate world.
That is also when life decided to throw a new challenge at me. My personal life fell into pieces leaving me homeless at 58. I first had to move in with one of my sisters and stayed there for one year. It would have been easy for me to step into victimhood but in fact, it turned out that this was the catalyst I needed to decide that I no longer wanted to live my life as I had so far. I realised that this was a unique opportunity to reconsider all my choices in life and business.
My first leap of faith was to decide to embrace my mission to empower women!
One of the things I had understood is that, although I had spent eight years working as an Executive Coach in the corporate world working on leadership development and change management, that is not where my heart was. What I really love, you will have guessed, is to work with women and help them reach their full potential while having a good work-life balance. That is why I took the decision that from now on my focus would be on female business entrepreneurs and on corporations that want to improve the career possibilities and work-life balance of their female managers and executives.
My second leap of faith was to decide to move to London to rise from my ashes!
Undoubtedly, arriving in London at 58 with two suitcases, eight weeks of house sitting and without any income or savings was a very scary move. I must admit that I woke up more than once in the middle of the night with a panic attack wondering how I would make it to the next day. But, instead of focusing on the fear, I held onto my vision and onto my faith that it would work out. I challenged my beliefs and dared embracing the unknown; I thought out of the box and tested doing things differently. I reconnected the dots between me, my life and my business and as a result, in less than six months, I managed to thrive again, stronger than before!
Today I’m successfully running two businesses. I’m a Women’s Empowerment Coach at Successful Women Academy and I’m the owner of Athena Central London, a female business network that I have grown from 4 groups and 48 members into 5 groups and 90 members in one year time, all of that while also being the founder and host of Women Who Make Things Happen, a video interview series where I have already interviewed 111 women who have succeeded in going after their and/or have succeeded in reinventing themselves.
What I believe in
There are things I strongly believe in:
- Role modelling and the ripple effect are powerful change-makers
- Vulnerability is a strength. Being yourself is not always easy, but success and fulfilment cannot be reached without it.
- We always have a choice and we can all create a life that fulfils us.
- We cannot take care of others’ needs if we do not practice self-care first.
